Introduction

London 2012 Olympics offers handball in the UK a unique opportunity, and a chance to create a lasting legacy for the sport. There is now a growing enthusiasm and demand for Handball from schools, universities, community groups and individuals and it is essential that Handball seizes these opportunities to develop the sport.



Change4Life Handball Clubs

From September 2010, 415 new school based, student led  clubs across England, will attract new generation of handball players coaches and officials.

These school clubs will welcome the link with existing Handball Clubs.

EHA Development Initiatives

The EHA is developing a variety of initiatives which will provide handball enthusiasts with a range of toolkits to help them increase the numbers of players, competitions, officials and volunteers . These toolkits are designed to be adaptable to your local needs and priorities.

The EHA has two stated objectives:

  • To embed Handball in the PE curriculum
  • To make Handball the No.1 Legacy Sport of the 2012 Olympic Games
