National Teams
The England Handball Association have developed a rolling 4 year strategy linking its Player Performance Pathway to EHF and IHF International Competitions.
The EHA National Teams' 4 yr Strategy 2009-13 explains in detail how the EHA will produce quality athletes for its National Team programme.
The Strategy has been developed in partnership with the BHA World Class Programme, endeavouring to achieve synchronicity between the two and aligning the development of female and male National teams to the EHF age group system which prepares nations for the qualification stages and eventual participation in Europeans, Worlds and Olympic Games.

England Handball Association Launch AASE Programme
The EHA is delighted to announce the launch of the Advanced Apprenticeship in Handball Excellence which is a University Entry Level Qualification beginning in November.
Based under the umbrella of the EHA’s first High Performance Centre in Warrington, the AASE programme presents an exciting opportunity for 20 of our current County Squad Athletes to study and train as professional athletes over the next two years and considerably increase their chances of achieving their International Handball goals. A second high performance centre is planned in London from September 2011.
Full details and an invitation to a presentation of the AASE programme can be downloaded here
Director of Performance, Mick Hegarty said, "The AASE programme has seen athletes like double Olympic Gold Medallist, Rebecca Addlington benefit without compromising her studies . This qualification is, without doubt, a significant step for England Handball to support our best young players in their studies, their career prospects and their handball destinies. It must not be seen in isolation of the handball community and it is important that our current clubs get on board as they have a vital partnership role to play. I sincerely hope that the handball community embraces this opportunity"
