England Girl's Under-18 squad to play Australia and Scotland announced

The 16-player England Girl’s Under-18 squad that will play Australia and Scotland under-21s has been announced.

The squad is:

  • Tanicha Ellis - NEM Hawks
  • Anna Price - Peninsula
  • Phoebe Wilson - NEM Hawks
  • Rebecca Brookes - HIK (Denmark)
  • Lauren Hood - Warrington Wolves
  • Lucy Ready - SK Aarhus (Denmark)
  • Elanur Can - Peninsula
  • Sophie Thompson - Olympia
  • Lydia Edgar - SK Aarhus (Denmark)
  • Megan Gibb - Somerset Spartans
  • Charlotte Worsley
  • Hannah Talbot – Olympia Cannock
  • Athalia Ibanga – Olympia Cannock
  • Brooke Partington - Warrington Wolves
  • Olivia Gonsalves - Olympia Cannock
  • Molly Clark - Warrington Wolves

Head Coach Bill Baillie said: “This is a great opportunity for the girls to gain international experience and gauge where they are at compared with our friends from Australia and Scotland.”

The tournament will take place at IM Marsh Campus, Liverpool on 7 and 8 January 2017.

The schedule (subject to change) is:

7 January 2017:

  • England v Australia: 12.30
  • Scotland v Australia: 14.30

8 January 2017:

  • England v Scotland: 12.30
  • Final: 14.30              

Warrington Wolves, along with the other female clubs in the north-west, will host the Australian squad from the 5-14 January. This will include training, matches and school visits. Dates and times for these will be announced in the New Year.
