England Girl's Under-18s set for Tri-nations Tournament

England Girl’s Under-18s play Australia and Scotland Under-21s in a Tri-nations tournament this weekend (8 and 9 January 2017).

The competition will take place at IM Marsh Campus, Liverpool.

The schedule (subject to change) is:

7 January 2017:

  • England v Australia: 12.30
  • Scotland v Australia: 14.30

8 January 2017:

  • England v Scotland: 12.30
  • Final: 14.30              

Warrington Wolves, along with the other female clubs in the north-west, are hosting the Australian squad from the 5-14 January. This includes training, matches and school visits.

The 16-player England Girl’s Under-18 squad for the tournament is:

  • Megan Gibb - Somerset Spartans
  • Charlotte Worsley
  • Hannah Talbot – Olympia Cannock
  • Athalia Ibanga – Olympia Cannock
  • Brooke Partington - Warrington Wolves
  • Olivia Gonsalves - Olympia Cannock
  • Molly Clark - Warrington Wolves

Head Coach Bill Baillie said: “This is a great opportunity for the girls to gain international experience and gauge where they are at compared with our friends from Australia and Scotland.”
