GB Women to face Belgium

GB Women’s team Head coach Thomas Brønd has selected a team including a number of young players for two friendlies against Belgium as he looks to build for the future.

GB face Belgium on 18 and 19 March in Antwerp. The games follow the visit to Edinburgh by Belgium in November last year, when the visitors won both encounters.

Brønd said: “These matches are about building experience for this young squad.  The Belgians will push us hard, but we know that we can challenge them, especially as we only lost one of our home games against them 31-35. There are plenty of positives to build on.”

GB squad for Belgium:

  • Holly Lam-Moores: NEM Hawks HC
  • Zoe Van Der Weel: Aker TopHandball (Norway)
  • Kathryn Fudge: LC Bruhl (Switzerland)
  • Annaleigh Knott: Olympia
