Women's Super-7: Sharks, Olympia and GD bidding for summit

Coventry Sharks, Olympia and London Angels could all go top of the table in Women’s Super-7 this weekend.

Sharks host NEM Hawks at Cranfield. Victory would see them move above leaders West London Eagles, who are not in action this weekend. However, a draw would see them remain behind Eagles on goal difference. Hawks will be looking to chalk up their first win of the campaign after two defeats and a draw. Throw-off on Sunday is 12.30 and is followed by the men’s Super-8 clash between the two clubs at 14.30.

Olympia take on defending champions London GD at Leyton Score Centre on Saturday. A win, and a defeat or draw for Sharks, would take Olympia top on goal difference. Olympia have lost just once this term, against Sharks. GD, who have won all their three matches, could also go top on goal difference if they beat Olympia and Sharks lose. Throw-off is at 14.00 and pre-cedes the Super-8 game between Olympia and GD at 16.00.

Angels and Cambridge meet at Sporthouse on Saturday. Both sides have struggled this season with just one win in five matches and will be looking to reverse that form. Throw-off is at 13.30 and is part of double bill with the men’s Super-8 match between Cambridge and Nottingham throwing off two hours later.
