Womens' Premier Handball League: Sharks take points against Angels in nailbiter

Coventry Sharks returned to winning ways with a narrow 17-16 win at London Angels.

Angels edged a close first half to go into the break with a 10-9 lead. However, Sharks outscored Angels by two goals in the second period to take three points.

Monika Adam scored eight goals for Angels, who named Aniko Homonnai as their player-of-the-match. Krisitin Ivancheva top-scored for Sharks with five goals. Noemi Torok was the Sharks' player-of the match.

Sharks stay in sixth spot, but are just one point behind fifth-place Olympia with game in hand. Angels remain in fourth, one point ahead of Olympia, having played a match more.
