Womens' Super-7: GD and Olympia in title decider

London GD host Olympia at the Copper Box Arena in an end-of-season crunch match that will decide the destination of the Super-7 title.

GD head the table by one point over Olympia and know a win or draw will guarantee them the title. However, victory for Olympia will see them crowned champions. GD’s only defeat this season came against Olympia in the reverse fixture on 10 December. That match saw just one goal separate the two teams and Sunday’s clash promises to be a nerve-jangling affair. Throw-off is at 15.30 and is preceded by the Super-8 match between the two sides at 13.30.

At the other end of the table an equally important match will decide who finishes bottom when Cambridge play London Angels at Sporthouse. Angels lie one point behind Cambridge and know that only a win will do if they’re not to finish at the foot of the table. Whichever team finishes bottom will go into a play-off against the loser of the promotion play-off match between Medway Dragons and Peninsula. Throw-off on Sunday is at 14.30.

NEM Hawks entertain Coventry Sharks at Oldham on Sunday knowing that a draw or better will ensure they finish in fifth place. Hawks lost against GD in their last encounter, a defeat that brought to an end a three-match winning run thatsecured their safety. Sharks are guaranteed third place whatever the result. Throw-off is at 14.30 and is part of a great double bill which sees the mens’ Super-8 match between the two sides at 12.30.
