Womens' Super-7: Olympia stay clear

Leaders Olympia remain two points clear at the top of Women’s Super-7 after beating Cambridge 25-21 at the Copper Box Arena.

The win sees Olympia extend their unbeaten run to eight matches, while Cambridge remain in fifth, two points ahead of London Angels who also lost, and NEM Hawks who were not in action. Cambridge have played one match more than Angels and two more than Hawks.

London GD kept the pressure up on Olympia with a 21-14 victory at Coventry Sharks. Defending champions GD have a match in hand over Olympia. Sharks remain in third, but will be running the missed chance to draw level on points with GD.

Angels suffered a 22-24 defeat against West London Eagles at Sporthouse.in a nail-biting encounter. Angels remain bottom, behind Hawks on goal difference. Eagles stay in fourth but the result brought to an end a winless streak of seven matches.
