Everyone to have the opportunity to 'be part of the excitement' of handball.

How are we doing this?

Focusing on the education sector

Schools, colleges and universities are perfect environments to introduce handball. Concentrating on this sector helps create a new generation of players who enjoy playing the sport, as well as identifying talented players.

Training and deploying a qualified workforce

A high-quality workforce is important to ensure participants have a positive experience of playing handball. We work with Active Partnerships and UK Coaching to develop a workforce that meets the needs of participants in club, community and education settings.

Building a sustainable club structure

A network of clubs in community and education settings is important to ensure people have opportunities to play handball. This includes offering advice on areas such as governance and funding.

Providing a competition and performance pathway

We run and support competitions and tournaments, allowing clubs, and players from school-age upwards to participate in organised activities.

It is important that players can maximise their potential and talented players can progress from grass-roots to international players. To enable this we have developed a talent pathway.
