BBC to stream National Cup finals

England Handball is delighted to announce that the Men’s and Women’s National Cup finals on 12 May will be streamed live on the BBC Sport website, BBC Sport app, and on connected TVs.

The matches will be streamed at this link https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/live/48113322

The finals, which take place at Derby Arena, are the pinnacle of the handball season.

The Men’s match between Warrington Wolves and Cambridge throws off at 14.00.

The Women’s final, which pitches NEM Hawks against West London Eagles, throws off at 16.30.

Warrington won the cup five-times-in-a-row before 2018 and will want to get their hands on the trophy again. However, they know they will face a tough test against Premier Handball League rivals Cambridge.

The women’s final is also an all-Premier Handball League clash. Hawks are a young side, but one full of talent. Eagles, meanwhile, are a team heading in the right direction under coach Paul Dempsey.

England Handball CEO David Meli said: “Live-streaming the National Cup Finals on the BBC Sport website and app, and connected TVs is great for the sport.

“It takes us to a bigger audience and will enable more people to watch what we know will be two great finals, and to enjoy our exciting, high-scoring, action-packed team sport.”
