Sue Whitehead has been re-elected to the role of England Handball Director of Development, while Marc Fayemi has been elected to the position of England Handball Director of Competitions and Events.
Both Sue and Marc will serve four-year terms following the elections at the England Handball AGM.
Sue commented: “It is a privilege to have been elected once again to take on this important role in England Handball. This is such an important time in the development of the sport and the association with the upcoming funding application to Sport England.
“I am delighted to be able to continue the work carried out over recent years and I look forward to working with staff and partners to help handball further its growth in participation across the country.”
Marc has been involved in handball in England for more than 10 years through his association with Ruislip Eagles, and has been a member of the Competition Events Group for the last two years.
He is excited to take up his new role, commenting: “I would like to thank members who gave me their vote at the recent AGM. I look forward to working closely with them on this key part of the England Handball’s work.
“Whilst it is clear that the sport is continuing to grow, we cannot be complacent and need to be proactive to make sure the level and quality of competition England Handball offers is constantly improving for all participants and at every level.”
Clubs can email Marc at firstname.lastname@example.org if they have a competition or events related issues.
England Handball Chair Mike Briers said: “We are delighted to welcome Sue back to the Board, and Marc for the first time, and look forward to benefiting from their knowledge and experience.
“We now have a complete set of Directors in place to help oversee our work to get more people playing and developing handball.”
