2019 champions Boy’s under-19 Warrington Wolves moved to within four points of North League leaders Nottingham with victory over Shropshire.
Stroud remain top of the South West League, despite losing a thriller against Guildford Sabres.
Wolves were 27-18 winners against Shropshire at Northgate Arena Chester in the only match in the North League. They have 11 points from their five games. Last year’s finalists Nottingham have 15 points with a perfect record of five-wins-from-five matches so far.
Stroud were edged out by Sabres 14-13 in a nail-biting contest. However, they won their other match, against Poole Phoenix II, 25-22. Sabres also beat Somerset Spartans 22-15 and sit just two points behind Stroud in second spot. The other match saw Phoenix II win 24-13 against Spartans.
