Defending boys’ under-19 Champions NEM Hawks made it five-wins-from five after beating Deva 23-18.
Hawks are top of the North League, two points ahead of Warrington Wolves, who also beat Deva, 31-15. Nottingham A and Shropshire shared the spoils as their match finished 27-27 in a thrilling encounter. Olympia Cannock forfeited their match against Shropshire.
Hackney GD are top of the boys’ South 1 Group after edging past Poole Phoenix 32-29. Last year’s beaten finalists Carshalton Titans have two-wins-from-two following a 24-19 victory over Somerset Spartans. Titans are a point behind GD, but have played a match less. Oly Cats 1, in third, have also taken maximum points from their matches and are separated from Titans on goal difference after beating Ealing 25-20. Ealing won their other match, against Spartans, 30-17.
Stroud lost a nail-biter against Cambridge 24-25 in the boys’ South 2 League. London Lions forfeited their match against Olympia.
