Warrington Wolves head the Boys’ Under-19 North League after making it four-wins-from-four.
Wolves beat Nottingham 26-18, before a 29-20 victory over Shropshire. Shropshire lie in second on nine points from four games after winning their other game, against Olympia Cannock, 16-8.
NEM Hawks have six points from three games to sit in third after two strong performances that brought a 41-11 victory against Loughborough, after a 32-19 win against Cannock.
In the South the final round of preliminary matches were completed.
In the South West Stroud and Poole Phoenix booked their place in South Group 1 after finishing in the top two. Stroud topped the table, and won their final preliminary match 31-19 against Phoenix. Bideford and Somerset Spartans will play in South Group 2 in the next round.
Cambridge and Islington join Stroud and Poole in South Group 1. Cambridge beat Chelsea 15-14 in a thriller and finish first. Chelsea, along with Medway Falcons will go into South Group 2.
West London Eagles won 36-3 against Olympia, and 27-10 against Bucks Bullets to finish top of South East 2. Bucks secured second despite losing their other final preliminary match 14-22 against Guildford Sabres. Sabres were beaten in their other match, against Carshalton Titans, 12-30. Titans enjoyed a good day with victory in their other match, 29-5 against Olympia. Sabres, Olympia and Titans will play in South 2 in the next round.
South 1 will see all teams play each other once, with the top four qualifying for the National play-offs.
South 2 will also see each team face each other once.
