With the new handball season just days away, anticipation is building at clubs across England as players and coaches begin to dream about what could be over the coming months.
Teams up and down the country are about to begin the new 2022/23 season featuring a brand new league structure, following changes announced during the summer.
It will see 34 men’s teams and 21 women’s teams competing in ten Premier and Regional divisions.
And next summer, for the first time ever, the very best from the men’s and women’s Premier North and South divisions will compete in an exciting ‘Final 4’ end of season event held at a central venue.
Speaking ahead of the new league season, John Pearce, National Competitions and Events Manager at England Handball, said: “Off the back of a great first season since the pandemic, we know players, coaches and teams will be looking forward to getting back in action.
“The team at England Handball is excited to see what’s in store and would like to wish all 55 teams taking part in this year’s leagues the very best of luck.”
