England Handball National Cup: Second-round clashes in Women's and Men's Cup

There are three second-round matches in the England Handball Women’s National Cup this weekend, and one game in the Men’s Cup.

In the women’s competition 2018 winners London GD host Northampton. Premier Handball League outfit GD go into the game on the back of two straight league wins and sit third in the table. They face a Northampton side that is going well in the Midlands Regional League, with six wins and just one defeat so far this term. Throw -off Barking Sporthouse is at 15.00 on Saturday.

Premier Handball League leaders Olympia face Chelsea of the Women’s South East League on Sunday, also at Barking Sporthouse. Olympia are in great form and have won their last five games. Chelsea are also enjoying a great season, and have lost just once in six matches. They are only separated by goal difference from league leaders London GD II. Throw-off is at 13.00.

Bristol of the South West Regional League host Midlands Regional League side University of Loughborough II. Bristol lie second in their league, and drew with leaders Stroud in their last clash. Loughborough II have found the going tough this term with just one victory in five matches. Throw-off at Winterbourne Academy on Sunday is at 14.30.

In the Men’s National Cup University of Loughborough travel to Barking Sporthouse to play Chelsea. Chelsea top the National League South with a record of five wins and just one loss. Loughborough lie bottom of the National League North and are searching for their first win of the campaign. Throw-off at Barking Sporthouse on Sunday is at 15.00.
