Hackney GD beat defending girl’s under-18 champions NEM Hawks in the National play-offs to book their place in the Super-4.
They are joined in the Super-4 by Peninsula, Warrington Wolves and Olympia Cannock. At Stoke Mandeville GD won 24-16 against six-times in-a-row champions NEM Hawks. Spanish players Aroa Castro and Kenya Castro scored 19 of of their goals between them.
Also at Trafford Powerleague Peninsula beat Somerset Spartans 23-15, claiming victory after an even start to the game. Bonny Ha scored 11 goals for Peninsula, while Somerset's Beth Gibbs beat the keeper six times.
Warrington Wolves ran out 29-15 winners against Poole Phoenix. However, in an excellent match the game was closer than the score suggests. Molly Clark scored 10 goals for Wolves, while Phoenix’s Kayleigh Pingarelli notched nine goals. Wolves also excelled in defence with Brooke Partington, Abi Smith and Luisa Lorenz.
Olympia Cannock beat Stroud 26-9. Athalia Ibanga found the back of the net 11 times, while Hannah Talbot also scored seven goals in a comfortable win.
Stroud, Hawks, Spartans and Poole will play in the Girls’ Championship 4.
