Girl's Under-18 League: Hackney GD stay 100% as National Play-offs set

Hackney GD qualify for the Girl’s Under-18 National Play-offs as top seeds from the South after beating Olympia 28-0 in the South Play-offs to keep up their 100 per cent record.

The other teams to qualify all come from the South West with Poole Phoenix, Stroud and Somerset Spartans all booking their places in the National Play-offs. Stroud and Somerset have been led to the National Play-offs in their first season by coaches Matt Durber and Roger Petch respectively.

Olympia Cannock topped table in a tight North League, only dropping one point in a 5-5 draw with Warrington Wolves, Warrington’s second match to finish all-square this season. Wolves finish third, with Peninsula second with four wins and one defeat. A very young Hawks side missing injured players take fourth spot.

Jemma Brocklehurst of Warrington Wolves, Meg Johnson of Olympia Cannock, and Fiona Parker of Peninsula all shone in goal.
