Girls' Under-19 competition: Champions Cannock stay 100%

Defending champions Olympia Cannock sit top of the Girls’ Under-19 North League after beating Warrington Wolves and Nottingham.

Cannock have a perfect record of seven wins and sit a point ahead of NEM Hawks, who’ve played a match more. Hawks beat Peninsula 22-8, and edged past Wolves 8-6. However, they lost to Shropshire 6-7 in another close match. The other two games saw third-place Shropshire beat Peninsula 16-4, while fourth-place Wolves beat bottom side Nottingham 14-10.

Hackney GD head the standings in the South 1 League. They beat Ealing 12-9 to maintain their 100% record. Poole Phoenix sneaked past Stroud 14-13.

Bideford took control at the top of South 2 League with two victories over Somerset. They edged past the Spartans 12-11 in one match, and then beat them 19-11 in the other game. Bideford have 12 points with four-wins-from-four games. Essex in second have four points, although like Somerset and London Angels below them they have played just two matches.
