NEM Hawks top the Girls’ Under-19 North league after maintaining their 100% record with victory over Shropshire.
Hawks won 14-7 in a close-fought match, Paige Schofield scoring nine goals for the North-West side. The other match saw Warrington and defending champions Olympia Cannock fight out a thrilling 17-17 draw. The result sees Warrington bottom of the league, with Cannock one place above them on goal difference.
In the South the final round of preliminary matches were completed.
In the South West Stroud topped the table ahead of Bideford after a win and a defeat. They beat Poole 19-13, but lost to Bideford 17-15. The other match in the South West saw Poole edge past Bideford 16-15.
In the Girls’ South East 1 league Cambridge beat 15-11 and top the table. Essex finish second, ahead of Medway Falcons who won 24-17 against Islington.
The final standings in the Girls South East 2 see West London Eagles head the table, with Olympia in second and Guildford Sabres in third. All the teams in the South go through to the next round. They will play each other once, with the top progressing through to the National play-offs.
