Girls' Under-19 Competition: Stroud and Eagles head South, Shropshire go top of North

Stroud and West London Eagles kept up their perfect record in the Girls’ Under-19 South League 1, while Shropshire went top of the North League.

Stroud defeated Poole Phoenix 22-8, and Medway Falcons 32-15. Falcons lost their other match, against Bideford 14-18. West London Eagles, like Stroud, made it five-wins-from-five after they beat Cambridge 26-16. They sit in second, behind Stroud on goal difference. Cambridge won their other game, 20-8 against Essex, to go into third spot on 11 points, ahead of Bideford on goal difference.

Shropshire moved to the top of the North League thanks to a 30-4 victory over Peninsula, and a 20-10 win against Warrington Wolves. Shropshire are a point ahead of NEM Hawks, who weren’t in action, but have played a match more than the Manchester side. The weekend’s other match saw defending champions Olympia Cannock get their first win when they beat Peninsula 29-5.
