Lionesses secure Womens' Premier Handball League place

Reading Lionesses beat Loughborough University 20-13 at Derby Arena to secure their place in the Womens’ Premier Handball League.

After a tight start to the match when the two sides traded goals, Reading began to take a grip on the game, and lead 9-6 at half time. Reading extended their lead in the second half, although Loughborough refused to give up, and fought to the last.

Emese Mozes-Racz led the scoring for Reading with six goals, while Andreea Szabo impressed with two penalty saves. Madeline Edwards top scored for Loughborough, beating the keeper four times.
