London GD send out a message after victory over Peninsula

League leaders London GD are unbeaten in all competitions this season, and there is no sign of them going off the boil as the end of the season approaches with this Premier Handball League victory over bottom of the table Peninsula.

GD’s 42-22 victory is the biggest winning margin in the Premier Handball League this season, and leave the Londoners firmly on course for the league and cup double. GD remain at the top of the table, five points ahead of NEM Hawks. Peninsula stay at the bottom with five points between them and Cambridge, in seventh.

The Londoners roared out into an immediate lead and the score was 21-12 at half time. Arantzazu Marin was both Player of the Match for GD and top scorer, netting eight times.

As they have done all season, GD continued to spread their scoring throughout the team with most players getting on the score sheet at least once. For Peninsula, Gabrielle Howarth was the top scorer with seven.

Peninsula have a two-week wait until their next match, at home to Coventry Sharks. London GD are next in action in a Thursday evening London derby against West London Eagles at the Copper Box.
