Men's National Cup: GD and Hawks to meet in Cup Quarter Finals

The quarter final of the Men’s National Cup has been drawn with London GD to host NEM Hawks in an all Premier Handball League clash.

Chelsea, who top the National League, face a trip the Premier Handball League leaders Nottingham, Islington will play Bucks Bullets, and Premier Handball League outfit Olympia will travel to Bristol.

2018 winners GD beat Loughborough II 39-19 to book their place in the last eight. NEM Hawks took on local rivals Manchester in the last round, running out 39-31 winners against the National League side.

Nottingham may lead the way in the Premier Handball League but will know they face a tough task against Chelsea, who won against top-flight side West London Eagles in round 2.

Bucks Bullets also claimed a Premier Handball League side as they overcame Carshalton Titans 39-37 in a thriller. They now face South 1 Regional League side Islington for a place in the last four.

Olympia secured their passage into the quarter finals with a convincing 41-21 victory over Northampton of the North and Midlands Regional League. South 1 Regional League leaders Bristol overcame the challenge of Oxford University 35-30.

The quarter final games will take place on 9 April.
