The men’s National Shield quarter-finals will see the best regional league teams fight it out for a place in the next round. 2018 runners-up Guildford Sabres will be in action, but defending champions Coventry Sharks were knocked out in the last 16 of the National Cup.
Stroud will play Manchester in the first match of the weekend. Manchester beat Bristol Spartans in the previous round. Stroud are currently top of Regional League South West. Throw-off is at 12.30 at Swindon Academy on Saturday.
Last year's beaten finalists Guildford Sabres play Newcastle Vikings. Sabres are top of Regional League South East A, and Vikings play in the Regional League North. Throw-off is at 14.00 at The Edge Leisure Centre, Haslemere, on Saturday.
Reading Lions play Bristol, who qualified for the quarter-finals by beating London GD II in the previous round. In the 2018 competition, Reading were knocked out in the semi-final by the eventual winners Coventry Sharks. Bristol are top of National League South having only been promoted this season. When these two teams met in the league, Bristol triumphed by eight goals. Throw-off is at 14.30 at Loddon Valley Leisure Centre on Sunday.
Essex will play Bucks Bullets. Essex play in Regional League South East Tier 1, where they are currently third. Bullets sit fifth in National League South. Throw-off is at 14.30 at Leyton Score Centre on Sunday.
