In the only match in the men’s Premier Handball League this weekend, London GD came out on top in their match against Olympia. It was Olympia’s third defeat of the season and was a reversal of the result of the same match in the women’s Premier Handball League.
At half-time, last year’s league champions GD were one goal in front as the teams turned around at 11-12. In the second half, the defending champions pulled away to win 19-23.
Olympia’s Player of the Match was Carlos Antonio Navarro, who scored three goals. For GD, Patrick Guenther was named Player of the Match. He also netted three times. Overall top scorer was GD’s Alexander Rauner.
With this result, GD remain top of the table having slightly increased their lead. Olympia stay second, one point ahead of Warrington Wolves in third.
