London GD host Warrington Wolves in the Mens’ Premier Handball League knowing they could be crowned champions this weekend.
A GD win, along with anything less than an Olympia victory, would see them take the title.
Olympia take on Cambridge, while NEM Hawks and Liverpool meet in a north-west derby, and West London Eagles travel to Nottingham.
GD and Wolves play at the Copper Box on Saturday, in a 13.30 throw-off. They will be hoping for a victory against the 2016/17 champions. However, they face a Wolves side who returned to form last time out when they beat Olympia.
If GD win their attention will then turn to the match between Olympia and Cambridge at Leyton Score Centre, which throws off at 16.30.
At the other end of the table Liverpool know a victory against NEM Hawks is imperative. The two sides meet at Oldham Leisure Centre. Liverpool know that if they lose and Eagles beat Nottingham then they will finish the season bottom. They face a Hawks side that hasn’t lost in three games and has won their last two. Throw-off on Sunday is at 12.30.
Eagles take on Nottingham on the back of a four-match losing streak. Nottingham have also struggled for form, losing their last three matches. Throw-off at Sutton Bonnington is at 14.30 on Sunday.
