Men's Premier Handball League: Hawks end Nottingham's Perfect Record

NEM Hawks ended Nottingham’s perfect record for the season with victory over the East Midlands side in the Men’s Premier Handball League.

Hawks ran out 33-26 winners. They led 16-11 at half time, extending their lead by two further goals in a tighter second period. Nottingham’s Benjamin Howard was the top scorer in the match with an impressive 11 goals. Ryan Goodwin beat the keeper nine times for Hawks, while team mate Mauro Cardano found the back of the net eight times.

Hawks, on 15 points, remain in fourth but have closed the gap on the top four and, like 16 point third-placed Nottingham, have a game in hand on London GD and Olympia, who have 17 and 18 points respectively.
