Men's Premier Handball League: New-boys Titans face Wolves

The Men’s Premier Handball League returns this weekend with defending champions London GD facing a tough test against NEM Hawks.

Last year’s runners up Olympia host Nottingham, new boys Carshalton Titans are away at Warrington, while Cambridge face West London Eagles.

GD host Hawks, who finished third last term, at Barking Sport House. Throw-off is at 13.00 on Sunday, and precedes the Women’s Premier Handball League match between GD and Hawks in a great double bill.

Olympia will be looking to go one better this season, with second-place finishes in the last two campaigns. Nottingham will be looking for revenge after losing by just one goal when the two teams last met.  Throw-off on Sunday at Leyton Score Centre is at 14.30, following the Women’s Premier Handball League clash between Olympia and Reading in another double header.

Carshalton impressed in National League South last season, losing just once on the last day against Chelsea. They will go into the match against National Cup winners Wolves full of confidence. However, they know they will face one of the powerhouses of English handball. Throw-off is at Birchwood Leisure Centre at 15.00 on Saturday.

Cambridge and West London Eagles both struggled for consistency last season and will be looking to get the campaign off to a positive start. Throw-off at Leyton Score Centre is at 16.30 on Saturday. It follows the Women’s Premier League match between the two sides, which throws off at 14.30, in another bonanza of handball.

Get down to a match and watch the most exciting, high scoring, action-packed team sport.
