Olympia top the Men’s Premier Handball League on goal difference after beating Carshalton Titans. Nottingham also made it three wins from three games, with victory over West London Eagles, and NEM Hawks won against Cambridge.
Olympia ran out 34-30 winners against Titans. They held a three-goal advantage at the break, extending that by a further goal in a tight second half. Titans Adam Latter top scored in the match with 10 strikes, while Tom Salgado and Pedro Fernandes bagged seven goals apiece for Olympia. Titans sit sixth in the table, still searching for their first win.
Nottingham continued their good start to the season, beating West London Eagles 27-22. Nottingham led 13-7 at half time before coming up against a spirited Eagles display in the second period. Eagles Mouzer Nofalia beat the keeper 10 times for Eagles, while Rowan Metry hit the back of the net seven times for Nottingham. The result left Eagles, like Titans, winless after three matches.
Hawks made it two victories from two as they won 38-30 against Cambridge, condemning the East Anglian side to their fourth straight defeat. Aaron Bradley-Shankar scored an amazing 14 goals for Hawks, while Ryan Thomas weighed in with 13 strikes. Oliver Holway and Alejandro Garcia Costa both found the back of the net seven times for Cambridge. The result sees Hawks fourth in the table, while Cambridge are fifth.
