Olympia won the battle of the top two in the Men’s Premier Handball League as they beat Capital City rivals London GD.
Meanwhile, West London Eagles claimed their first win of the campaign in a thriller against Cambridge.
Olympia ran out 32-29 victors against GD. Olympia led 16-9 at half time, but saw GD claw back their advantage in the second period. GD’s Diego Llorente top scored in the game with 10 strikes. The result sees Olympia head the table with four wins from four, while GD are in second. Nottingham and Hawks below them, who’ve played three and two games respectively, have also made perfect starts to the campaign.
Eagles edged past Cambridge 25-24 in a nail biter. The scores were level at the interval, Eagles doing just enough after the break to take maximum points. Eagles lie fifth in the table, while Cambridge remain winless after five matches.
