Men's Premier Handball League: Titans beaten by Hawks. GD and Olympia win.

NEM Hawks, London GD and Olympia all recorded victories as the new Men’s Premier Handball League season got underway.

Hawks won 31-17 against Carshalton Titans, while Olympia beat Cambridge 39-19, and GD were 26-14 successors over West London Eagles.

Hawks led 15-10 against Titans at the break, extending their lead in the second half. Ryan Goodwin, Ed Page and Johnny Haworth all scored six goals for Hawks, while Ryan Thomas struck five times. Adam Latter and Regis Dore each beat the keeper four times for Titans.

Jonas Petrikejevas led the way for Olympia with 10 goals as they ran out comfortable winners against Cambridge. The ever-consistent Alejandro Costa Garcia top-scored for visitors Cambridge, finding the back of the net five times.

GD spread the goals through the team, as they built on a 20-9 halt-time lead to take maximum points against Eagles. Alexander Rauner headed the scoring charts for GD in the Capital city derby clash with seven goals. Silvu-Gabriel Munteanu struck five times for Eagles.
