Men's Super-8: Leaders Hawks take on Cambridge

Leaders NEM Hawks host Cambridge at Oldham in Men’s Super-8 on Sunday, while second place Warrington Wolves play Coventry Sharks.

Hawks went three points clear at the top of Super-8 after beating West London Eagles last time out, although they have played two more matches than second-place Warrington Wolves. Hawks go into the game against Cambridge on the back of a three wins from four matches Cambridge, meanwhile, have lost and drawn their last two matches. Throw-off is at 12.30 and is precedes the Women’s Super-7 match between the teams at 14.30.

Warrington Wolves are also in action on Sunday when they make the trip to the West Midlands to play Coventry. Wolves, like Hawks, have been in sparkling form, and have put together a winning run that stretches back four matches. Coventry have struggled since being promoted back to Super-8 last season and are still looking for their first win. Throw-off at Coventry Sports Centre is at 11.30.

The day before third-place West London Eagles play London GD at Sporthouse. Eagles will be looking for revenge after a 31-19 defeat to GD in their last match, and to end a three-match losing streak. GD sit in sixth spot, but with games in hand on the teams around them. The defending champions know if they win those matches they will make strides up the table. Throw-off is at 16.00 and follows the Women’s Super-7 match between Eagles and GD at 13.00.

Seventh-place Nottingham travel to the Capital on Saturday to play fourth-place Olympia. Nottingham go into the encounter fresh from their second win of the campaign, over bottom side Coventry Sharks. Olympia have won their last two, including a victory against NEM Hawks. Throw-off at Leyton Score Centre is at 16.00. In a great double bill Olympia women play London Angels in Super-7 at 14.00.
