Mens' and Womens' first-round National Cup Draw

The first round draw for the 2018-19 Mens' and Womens' National Cup has been made and was streamed on Facebook Live.

In the mens' draw Poole Phoenix will host Manchester, with 2017-18 cup winners London GD awaiting the victor in the second round.

In the womens' draw, London GD, who lifted the cup last season received a bye and will play the winners of Brighton against Olympia. Meanwhile, Regional League North side Manchester face a North West derby against Premier Handball League side NEM Hawks.

The full mens' draw, in which the Premier League teams get a bye to the second round is:

• Bristol Spartans v Carshalton Titans (Winner to play Brighton in second round)
• Poole Phoenix v Manchester (Winner to play London GD in the second round)
• Oxford University v Bath University (Winner to play Warrington Wolves in second round)
• Coventry Sharks v London GD2 (Winner to play NEM Hawks in second round)
• Bucks Bullets v Liverpool (Winner to play Olympia in second round)
• Bristol Handball Club v Loughborough (Winner to play West London Eagles in second round)
• Reading Lions v Chelsea (Winner to play Cambridge in second round)
• Essex v Islington (Winner to play Nottingham in second round)

The full womens' draw is:

• Brighton v Olympia (Winner to play London GD in second round)
• Peninsula v London GD2
• Poole Phoenix v West London Eagles
• Bath v Liverpool
• Manchester v NEM Hawks
