Olympia Cannock scored in the last 30 seconds to beat Stroud 24-23 in a dramatic girls’ under-19 final.
Stroud led at 11-10 at the break in a tight first half where both sides defended resolutely and some great saves from both side’s keepers.
The second half was more open but still close between two evenly-matched teams. And it came down to the final few seconds in a nerve-jangling finale, when Cannock scored.
Cannock’s eight-goal Olivia Gonzalves was named Most Valuable Player, while Athalia Ibanga beat the keeper nine times for Cannock. Alex Neilson struck eight times for Stroud.
