The first phase of the South West and South East Under-15 competitions took place at Swindon and Sporthouse in Barking repectively.
All teams impressed with plenty of quality handball on show.
Stroud top the table ahead of Somerset Spartans and Devon on goal difference in the South West girls’ tournament after the first round of matches. All three teams won two matches and lost one. Poole Phoenix are in fourth spot.
In the boys' competition Somerset Spartans head proceedings after winning all three of their matches. Stroud are second with a win, a draw and a defeat, while Devon lie third and Poole fourth.
The second round of South West matches take place on Saturday 1 April in Bournemouth.
In the Girls’ South competition Thames lead the way after the first round South East Tournament. Thames won two and drew one of their three matches. Essex lie in second on seven points with two draws and a win. Guildford Sabres are in third place while Cambridge, on five points, sit ahead of London Urban on goal difference
Guildford Sabres top the standings in the boys' competition with two wins and a draw. The draw came against Oly Cats who lie in third spot, behind Essex. A young Thames team are fourth.
The first phase of the South East tournament continues on Sunday 19 March with Sussex, Medway Dragons, Islington, Ealing and London Lions taking part. The final round takes place on Sunday 2 April at Sporthouse.
The North tournament gets underway on Saturday 18 March in Shropshire with Deva, Liverpool, BK 72 and Shropshire participating. The second phase in on Saturday 1 April.
