25th January 2023
This year’s first episode of Handball Hits will feature the draw for the National Cup Quarter Finals – as well as the usual big talking points and best highlights from recent fixtures.
The monthly hour-long show will be the first of 2023, and will be available through England Handball’s Facebook, Twitter and YouTube channels.
This month’s show, however, will feature an exciting one-off addition.
Due to unforeseen circumstances with the venue, England Handball will no longer be hosting the Quarter Finals of the National Cup at Stoke Mandeville Stadium in Aylesbury.
Instead, clubs will host the games themselves at their own home venues.
And with most Round 2 matches yet to be played, this draw will determine who the winners of the eight fixtures will play in the Quarter Finals – and where.
Handball Hits host Ian Waterhouse will oversee the live draw.
John Pearce, National Events and Media Manager at England Handball, said: “It’s great to announce the return of Handball Hits, our monthly show that we hope to see grow and grow in 2023.
“In addition to our new Live Streaming service, this regular coverage is allowing so many more people to access our sport.
“Doing the National Cup draw live on the show only adds to that excitement, so we hope to see as many people as possible tuning in on Sunday evening.”
In addition to the draw, the show’s regular features - big talking points, highlights, best goals and more - will return. Handball Hits airs Sunday at 8pm - and can be watched back at any time across England Handball’s social media channels.
