The England Handball National Schools Finals saw close matches all round, and four different schools take home a trophy each.
The Under-13 girls title was won by Guildford County School, who defeated Bower Park 4-3 in the final. The County girls were unbeaten in the event, having drawn two matches and won one in the pool stage.
They came through against Tudor Grange School, Worcester, in the semi-final 8-3. Bower Park won their semi-final over Priory Belvoir after extra time.
Third place went to Tudor Grange who beat Priory Belvoir.
It was also a one-goal margin in the boys Under-13 final, with Orchard School, Bristol, taking the win 7-6 over Kingsford Community School.
Orchard overcame Middleton Tech in the semi-final 6-2, and Kingsford narrowly defeated Sir Graham Balfour School 7-6. Middleton Tech won the third-place play-off over Balfour 5-3.
In the Under-15 events, the girls title went to Bower Park who beat Knole Academy 9-8, on penalties. Bower Park had a comfortable semi-final win, defeating eventual third place finishers Co-op Academy Walkden 14-5. Knole Academy came through 13-7 in their semi-final against Rushcliffe School.
Walkden won the third-place play-off 3-1 against Rushcliffe.
The boys Under-15 event was won by Aylesbury Grammar who overcame Chadwell Heath in the final.
Newman College defeated Park Vale 6-5 in the Under-15 boys third-place play-off.
