Under-15 regional champions crowned

The final round of the under-15 Competition took place on Saturday 1 and Sunday 2 April.

Devon were crowned girls’ South West Champions, ahead of Stroud in second, Somerset Spartans in third, and Poole Phoenix in fourth.  

In the boys’ tournament Spartans remained unbeaten to take the title. Devon claimed the silver medal, and Devon the bronze. Poole came fourth. .  

Thames beat Essex in a close final to win the girls’ South East competition. Medway Dragons beats Guilford Sabres to finish third. Unfortunately Islington, Sussex and London Urban could not make the second round of the competition.  

The boys’ final pitched Oly Cats against Sabres, Oly Cats coming out on top. Ealing finished third after defeating Islington, who placed fourth.  Essex, missing players finished fifth, and a young Thames side, sixth.  

Last-minute defaults meant the North tournament ended up as a friendly tournament where various players from Shropshire HC and their partner school enjoyed a morning of handball.   As a result Shropshire Boys and Girls were crowned North regional winners.
