We’re on the lookout for Handball’s Coaches of the Future

We know that our clubs are as passionate as we are about developing and growing handball in England and are eager to make links within their local communities. However, having enough coaches to be able to deliver this is a barrier for many clubs.

That’s why we’ve decided to launch Coaches of the Future, a project created to not only support the development of the next generation of handball coaches in England, but also to enable more young people to discover, engage in and achieve through our fantastic sport.

Initially, the programme will support 20 young coaches, aged 14 and 15 years old, to work with an England Handball accredited Fit For Purpose Club. The coaches will also receive the opportunity to register on our new L1 Coaching Award at a 50% discounted rate (£60), as well as access to our tailored CPD opportunities and mentoring with an experienced coach from their club.

We’re opening this opportunity up to anyone aged 14 and 15 years old to help them begin their coaching journey and become a future coaching star – so if this sounds like you, or someone you know, then make sure your application is in as soon as possible so you don’t miss out.

The application must be done in conjunction with your club, and a club “mentor” (who will support you as a coach through the initial steps of the journey). If you are not involved with a Fit For Purpose Handball Club, but would like to get involved with the project, please get in touch as we can link you up with your nearest Fit For Purpose Club.

If you are a young coach who is interested in being part of this new and exciting project, please complete the quick online application form below. The closing date for applications is Monday 5th July.

When completed, please email your form to National Coaching & Workforce Manager Ricardo Vasconcelos on ricardo.vasconcelos@englandhandball.com, and contact him with any further queries.
