Wolves crowned Boys' Under-19 champions

Warrington Wolves beat NEM Hawks 37-23 to be crowned Boys’ Under-19 champions.

Wolves led 20-11 at the break. Hawks showed their determination and began to get back in the game. However, Wolves made it hard for their North-west rivals to break through as they played a 5-1 defence, while enjoying success on the counter attack, to extend their lead by full time.

Most Valuable Player Jack Booth also played a key role for Wolves with three penalty saves, as he and Hawks’ Jared James impressed in goal.

Wolves’ Nate Green top-scored in the match with an impressive 13 goals, while Harry Thorpe grabbed 10 for Hawks.
