Women's National Cup: Holders Eagles face Loughborough in Quarters

The quarter-finals of the Women’s National Cup has been confirmed, with current holders West London Eagles hosting Loughborough.

Nottingham face a trip to in-form NEM Hawks, Northampton travel to Premier Handball League leaders Olympia, and London GD are at home to Trafford.

Eagles won the cup in a thriller against Hawks when it was last held in 2019, before Covid saw the last two editions of the competition cancelled. Loughborough will be hoping for a giant killing against and Eagles side who have drawn two and lost two in their last four matches. Eagles though pushed Olympia hard in their last clash.

Nottingham are going well in the North and Midlands Regional League but know they will face a tough task against Hawks who have climbed the Premier Handball League table from bottom place to second.

Northampton have lost just once this season in the North and Midlands Regional League, but face  an Olympia side who have shown similar form in the Premier Handball League to top the standings.

2018 National Cup winners GD have struggled in the Premier Handball League this season and currently prop up the table with just a win and a draw to their name so far this campaign. Trafford, who sit in mid-table of the North and Midlands Regional League will be hoping to take advantage of that poor form and book a place in the last four.

The quarter-final matches will take place on 9 April.
