There are two second-round matches in the England Handball Women’s National Cup this weekend as NEM Hawks play Stroud, and Liverpool host Newcastle Vikings.
2019 finalists NEM Hawks take on Stroud on Saturday at Oldham Leisure Centre in what promises to be a great clash. Hawks were edged out by London GD in their last Premier Handball League clash, but have shown improved form after struggling early season. Stroud, meanwhile, are going well in the South West Regional League, where they are averaging 38 goals-a-game. Throw-off is at 15.30.
Liverpool play Newcastle Vikings in a meeting of two North Regional League teams at Greenbank Sports Academy. Liverpool are leading the way in the league with three wins from four matches. They face a Vikings side who will be looking for revenge after a narrow two-goal defeat against Liverpool in their last game. Throw-off on Saturday is at 14.30.
