Cambridge Angels moved into second spot in the Women’s Premier Handball League with a 30-23 win against London GD.
Cambridge held a 11-18 advantage at half time. The second half was a much closer affair as both teams scored 12 goals. Cambridge's Grete Morkvenaite headed the scoring charts with an impressive 16 goals. Thu Maria Tran led the way for GD, beating the keeper five times.
Cambridge sit one point behind leaders Olympia, but have played a match more. GD are in fourth, four points ahead of bottom side NEM Hawks, although Hawks have three games in hand.
