Women's Premier Handball League: Cambridge and GD meet in top-of-the table clash

First plays second in the Women’s Premier Handball League when Cambridge take on London GD this weekend.

Reading Lionesses host London Angels, while NEM Hawks play West London Eagles.

Cambridge have made the perfect start to the season on their return to the top flight, with four-wins-from-four games. GD have taken maximum points from three-of-their-four matches, their only slip-up coming against West London Eagles in week two. Throw-off is at 12.30 on Sunday and is followed by the men’s Premier Handball League match between the two sides in a great double bill.

Reading Lionesses and London Angels meet each other in a huge clash at the bottom end of the table. Both sides are still looking for their first win of the campaign with three defeats so far. Reading, however, will be buoyed after pushing Cambridge close in their last match, following two heavy defeats. Whoever wins the match know they will put some space between themselves and last place.

Throw-off is at 12.30 on Saturday at Loddon Valley Leisure Centre. Hawks return to action after a confidence-boosting win against Olympia last time out after losing their first two matches. Eagles will be looking to return to winning ways after  losing by one goal to Olympia in their last game. Throw-off Oldham Leisure Centre is as 13.30 on Saturday.
