Cambridge got their first win of the season in the women’s Premier Handball League with victory over Peninsula.
The East Anglian side beat promoted Peninsula 31-15 at Sporthouse in Barking. Cambridge led 14-7 at the break, and extended their advantage in the second half.
Grete Morkvenaite top scored for Cambridge with seven goals, while Nikoletta Rau struck six times, and GB Under-17 skipper Storm Judge five times.
Jemaine Knott beat the keeper five times for Peninsula, while Gabrielle Howarth scored four goals.
The result sees Cambridge climb to third in the table with five points from three matches. Peninsula are seventh with three points from three matches.
