Women's Premier Handball League: Cambridge stay 100%

Cambridge maintained their 100% record in the Women’s Premier Handball League this season but were pushed hard by Reading Lionesses.

London GD beat London Angels, while Olympia edged past West London Eagles.

Cambridge and Reading were all square at the break with the score at 11-11. However, Cambridge carved out a narrow advantage in the second half to win 27-25. Karolina Dauksaite of Reading top scored in the match with nine goals. Sonja Nashchekina beat the keeper seven times for Cambridge. Cambridge are top on 12 points. Reading, still looking for a win this season, are bottom, behind Angels on goal difference, with three points from three matches.

GD ran out 30-14 winners at Angels. GD held a comfortable 13-7 advantage at half time, extending their lead after the break. GD are in second place, ahead of Olympia on goal difference. Angels lie in sixth place.

Eagles trailed Olympia by two goals at half time with the score at 12-14. They reduced the deficit by one goal in the second period as it finished 22-21 to Olympia. Sunniva Ovstevo Naess struck 12 times for Eagles. Malwina Speck scored seven goals for Olympia. Olympia are in third spot with 10 points, behind GD on goal difference. Eagles lie in fourth place with five points.
