Women's Premier Handball League: Eagles beat Angels to go second

West London Eagles moved up to second place in the Women’s Premier Handball League after beating London Angels 26-23.

A close-fought match saw the scores tied at 12-12 at half time, Eagles opening a narrow advantage in the second period to take maximum points.

Nikolletta Kurtiova of Angels, and Eagles' Krystina Littman joint top scored with 10 goals apiece. Barbara Csombor of Angels, and Noelly Chevallier of Eagles were named players of the match.

Eagles lie just two points adrift of table-toppers London GD, while Angels are in seventh spot with six points from four matches.
