Women's Premier Handball League: GD beat Cambridge to stay 100%

London GD maintained their 100% record in the Women’s Premier Handball League with a 23-15 win against Cambridge.

A tight first half saw GD go into the break with just a one-goal lead with the scores at 10-9. However, GD enjoyed the better of the second half as they went on to make it five wins from five matches.

Cambridge’s Grete Morkenvaite top scored in the match with eight goals, while Aleksandra Stankiewwicz beat the keeper six times for GD.

GD sit top of the table with 15 points, five ahead of NEM Hawks, although they have played a match more. Cambridge are in third on seven points, ahead of West London Eagles on goal difference, but have played two matches more than Eagles, and Olympia on five points. Meanwhile, London Angels and Coventry Sharks, on four points, have three matches in hand on Cambridge.
